The Halifax Returns!!

'Fraid so, Lancaster enthusiasts!! But in a form that even the most die hard Lanc or Stirling afficionado will take an immediate liking to. "The Halifax Returns" is a book of cartoons drawn over a fifteen-odd year period by Ian Foster, who runs our sister organisation 57 Rescue. He has combined his talent for drawing with a somewhat left of centre sense of humour and come up with these fantastic drawings and captions, which he has now combined into a book. Selling at the very modest price of just £5.00, which includes package and posting (rumours that it will be delivered from 18,000 feet encased in metal are not true!!), you can be sure that all proceeds will be used to help perpetuate the Handley Page Halifax legend, by way of the restoration of NA337 in Canada. My own personal favourite is the Pathfinders cartoon - which one will be yours?

Please email Ian Foster for further details

BCHS starts fund for national Bomber Command Memorial

The Bomber Command Historical Society is in the process of starting a fund, with the intention of erecting a national Bomber Command Memorial. Things are currently very much in the embryonic stage, with a "document for consultation" being written, which will be circulated amongst interested parties when complete. If you would like any further details of this fund-raising campaign ahead of the public launch of the campaign, please contact Greg and Ginny at the usual email address, as shown on our homepage.
