Below are some of the web sites that we like to relax with when we are not researching Bomber Command. The music ones are toward the bottom of the page.
The Professionals - the ultimate televison programme!!! Thursday
evenings in the early 80s would see Greg glued in front of the screen
to his CI5 heroes protecting our streets from certain tyranny, and
causing a fair amount of mayhem to boot!! Go and have a look at this
web page, which pays homage at the foot of our heroes. "37, 45,
over..."
Total Wales - the website for local information here in Wales.
Great site, full of local gen, and loads of information on the Welsh
rugby team here. You can even order a video of that legendary match
on April the 11th 1999, when Wales beat England at Twickenham 32
points to 31. We say no more England fans!!!
Colin's homepage - Just to prove we are normal and have got
normal friends, here's our good friend Colin's homepage. Some good
links and an excellent profile of his skittles team!! AND he's quite
happy to regard us as adopted Welsh, which we are highly delighted
with!! Check out the photo of the WRU (which if you are English means
"WELSH Rugby Union") dragon. It's how they put the fire into
him!!
The Dancing Baby - the original, and by far and away, still the
best!! New Dancing Baby now available to download is the "Prodigy
Baby"!!
Star Trek - this Star Trek site claims to have evry other Star
Trek site in the world linked from it, so you could be surfing for
some time. Great pages, with all sorts of gen for the Star Trek fan.
Even the Borg are friendly!!
The British Broadcasting Corporation - no introduction needed for
"Aunty" - simply the best for everything media related in the entire
universe.
Arsenal Football Club - Ginny's Premier league boys, who,
apparently, play at "Fortress Highbury".
Leyton Orient Football Club - Ginny's "other" team, who she likes
to watch when she's not calling Arsenal "donkies". 'Nuff said.
Fields Of The Nephilim - One of the best musical experiences
around. Greg spent a good proportion of his (considerably!!)
mis-spent youth following this bunch of urban renegades around the
gig circuit of the UK and Europe. Probably not to your taste if you
like "Five" or "Steps", but if you want a real musical experience,
follow this link. Or live to regret it.
Blyth Power - we once heard Blyth described as "Chaucer meets the
Sex Pistols". Couldn't have put it better ourselves!! AND, the mighty
Blyth Power have written a song about Harris. The Gods that are Blyth
are heroes in our eyes, and no mistake.
The Alarm - The Alarm were one of those bands that no-one had
ever heard of, but seemed to sell out huge venues with ease. Greg
first saw them at York University in February 1984, and has been
extolling their virtues ever since. Go to this site, and remind
yourself that rock 'n' roll can still move mountains when you need it
to. So there.
